It's full steam ahead in McAuley

11 June 2015

It has been a busy but rewarding term 2 in McAuley House. On Tuesday, May 26, the house had a minute to win it competition during pastoral care. Everyone in McAuley took part in this fun afternoon. We raised $300 for our house charity, the Tea Garden School in Bangladesh.

We thank house coordinator Mr Caruso, our SRC members, Mr Rovetto, Mr Engel, Ms Fogarty and Ms Jones and all those in McAuley who helped to make the afternoon so successful.

We also acknowledge the house members who participated in last month's Relay For Life and especially those who helped organise the highly successful event which raised much-needed funds to help find a cure for cancer.

Congratulations to McAuley staff member Mrs Caitlin Roks and husband Chris on the arrival of their new son, Charlie James Roks.  We wish you every happiness.

It is the business end of the term with year 9 to 11 students completing mid-year exams. I hope your results and feedback are rewarding for the effort and time you put in. I would also like us to keep the year 12s in our thoughts and prayers as they prepare to sit trial exams in the coming holidays.

Wishing everyone a productive end of term and enjoy the mid-year break.
