Girls sport will be back in full swing this Saturday, October 24. Good luck to our teams participating in volleyball, tennis and softball.
Girls cricket clinic
Cricket Victoria held a girls cricket clinic at ACK on October 14. We were lucky to have Southern Star's Jessica Cameron come along to help the girls build their skills and learn new ones.
On November 20, girls in years 7 and 8 will have the chance to participate in a round-robin event held by Cricket Victoria at Carey Grammar from 3 to 6pm. All APS/AGSV schools will be there, and transport will be provided.
Any girls interested in competing in this event, please email me: firstname.lastname@example.org

The boys summer sport season began last Saturday with tennis, cricket and basketball played at Trinity Grammar. There was some spirited competition but, unfortunately, Assumption went down in all three games:
Basketball: ACK (52) def. by Trinity (59)
Tennis: ACK 1 (52) def. by Trinity 15 (125)
Cricket: ACK 10/148 def. by Trinity 3/150
All other summer sports starts this Saturday, October 24.
A reminder of the attendance policy and leave application form. Students who signed up for a summer sport (team lists are on the sports noticeboard) must make themselves available for all Saturday games. If you are not available, you must complete a sport leave application form (available on the college website at the link below and hand it to your sports coordinator http://assumption.vic.edu.au/assets/Uploads/Student-Co-Curricular-Leave-Application-Form.pdf
If a student misses Saturday sport without completing a form or obtaining a medical certificate they'll be given a Friday night detention.
