We had a fantastic round of sport on the weekend with most teams having their final games of the season. A few teams were undefeated for the season and we congratulate those girls; what a fantastic effort.
Thank you to all coaches. Your time and effort are very much appreciated by your teams and me. The firsts netball and basketball teams play their last matches this weekend so we wish them good luck.
Our netballers, basketballers, hockey and soccer players are now preparing to compete against Sacred Heart College Adelaide in the annual exchange next month.

The AGSV winter representative teams have been confirmed. Congratulations to Mitchell Lewis, Aidan Tilley and Joel Naylor (emergency) for their selection in the football squad. Keenan Gorski, who was selected after the summer season, is in the basketball squad. Good luck to those boys as they represent the AGSV against the APS on Saturday, August 6.
The regular winter season ended last Saturday. It was a successful one, with many teams winning multiple games and everyone improving in one way or another.
Unfortunately the First XVIII finished fifth and missed out on a spot in the finals. On a positive note, the hockey team, after losing the first seven games, finished the season with two wins in a row. And the Inter A footballers finished the season on top of the ladder after being undefeated, for the second year in a row.
A huge thank-you to all out players, coaches and parents for your dedication to each of your teams.
The firsts football, basketball and soccer teams are training for the annual Sacred Heart Exchange matches in Adelaide next month.
We now move into the athletics season. All training and competition dates are on the college website under the Sports Information tab. All new athletes are welcome to join the team.
