Welcome to the summer season of sport at ACK. I take this opportunity to introduce myself and look forward to carrying on the proud and extensive sporting history that Assumption has forged over many years. Our sporting program gives our students the chance to have fun and stay safe while striving to be their best.
Our extended wintry weather has adversely affected our preparation for the summer season with some training sessions and even a few games being cancelled. Despite this, we have had some excellent results in the early rounds, most notably our firsts boys tennis victory over Trinity in Round 2 and strong performances across all other sports.
I remind everyone of the co-curricular attendance policy: if there is a legitimate reason why you cannot fulfil your commitment due to injury etc. then a co-curricular leave application form must be submitted to me by 3.30pm on the Monday before the game you want leave from. Applications will be processed and notification of their outcome emailed to you. Coaches will be cc’d into emails.
The only exception to this is if you fall ill after the Monday deadline, then you must provide a medical certificate when you return to school.
The leave application form is available on the college website.
