A Marian House update

6 October 2016

While this year has presented several challenges for a minority of our students, it has been one of genuine excitement, and I have a strong sense that there will be many more fantastic individual and group successes to follow. It has been pleasing to witness so many great achievements by our students in various fields. Whether it be on the sporting field or on stage in the disciplines of music, drama, debating and dance, Marian students continually emulated our house logo “faith, commitment, trust” in their daily actions.

I loved working closely with our house captains Emily Bugeja and Erin Gough and I thank them for their efforts throughout the year. Their leadership skills transcended all barriers and both were well respected by ACK's students and staff. They were supported in their role by the rest of our year 12s who also provided leadership, and Marian House wishes you all the best as you begin your next chapter in life.

We are sad to see Emily and Erin go, but look forward to welcoming two new captains whose names will be announced early this term. Thank you to those who applied for leadership positions. I am sure you have  grown from this process.

To all the mighty Mustangs, well done on a stellar 2016 and let’s continue this great journey through term 4 and into 2017.
