CLC Dressage Day results

22 June 2017

Assumption's equestrian team travelled to Catholic Ladies' College Dressage Day at Hurstbridge on Saturday June 18.

I competed on Wyann Mercedes in the Preliminary Senior section, and she behaved beautifully. We were very consistent, placing 2nd in the first dressage test and 2nd in the next test.

Overall we achieved the Champion combination of the preliminary senior section, being awarded an embroidered rug, sponsored by Fletchers Rugs.

Sophie Manton, sadly, had to scratch as her pony, Kimberley Park Donny B, hurt himself in the float on the way to the event. Thankfully, Donny will be OK.

Sinead Dalben rode Imposing Rob in the Preliminary Intermediate dressage. This was Sinead and Rob’s third dressage competition as they are a new combination. They achieved their highest dressage score to date, 63.269%.

Anna Gurnett rode Raspond in the Elementary dressage. Her results were consistently high, and she achieved Reserve Champion.

Eva Livesey was busy, competing on two horses and completing four dressage tests, as each horse was in a different division.

First, Eva rode Andelain Moonlight Miracle in Preliminary Senior dressage. In the first dressage test, she scored 65.909%. In the second test, she scored 60.192, resulting in 6th place overall.

Secondly, she rode Diamond FMM Li’l Grand in the Novice Senior dressage. She achieved 6th and 5th respectively and 5th overall.

I thank Catholic Ladies' College for hosting such a wonderful event and the local sponsors for their great prizes.
