Easing the plight of Syrian refugees

Syrian Refugees

With no end in sight to the civil war in Syria, thousands are fleeing the country and the plight of the refugees is truly shocking.

To help feed these displaced people and raise awareness of their situation, two Assumption students, Roisin Cahir (Austin) and Carrie Killeen (Damian), have signed up for the Act for Peace Ration Challenge.

They have been eating the same food rations as a Syrian refugee - a small amount of rice, flour, lentils, beans and oil. That's it! No coffee, no sugar or alcohol.
