As we prepare for the 61st Assumption-Sacred Heart Exchange, we are looking for families prepared to offer accommodation to one or more of the 130 students visiting from August 18 to 20, 2017.
Students in years 11 and 12 may have been be part of this experience in 2016, and it's now our turn to repay some of the wonderful hospitality shown to us. Similarly, those year 10 and 11 students participating in the exchange for the first time this year, will have the opportunity to travel to Adelaide next year and, hopefully, stay with your new Sacred Heart friends.
Families that do not have children participating in the exchange but wish to accept billets are most welcome to become involved. If you would like to billet a student please email me: Jennifer.firstname.lastname@example.org
Families willing to accept billets must, by law, obtain Working with Children Checks for everyone over 18 living with you.
We encourage billeting families to complete the online application process as soon as possible using this link: http://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/, and ask you to complete a short survey through this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Y93JS9K?
Along with providing meals and a bed for each billet, you would need to be available to take them to and from their chosen cultural activities or sports as well as Mass and the awards presentation. On Friday night there is netball; on Saturday night Mass, debating, dance, music and supper; and on Sunday basketball, soccer, hockey, football, athletics and the awards presentation. A detailed itinerary will be released closer to the exchange.
We look forward to working with you in providing a wonderful experience for our visitors during the exchange and invite you to contact us with any questions.
