Many students have started their VET courses and all school-based apprentices now know what it is like in the "real world" of work. The rules for VET and SBATs, VET starting dates and structured workplace training forms are on the College library website.
VET building students had a tough start with a sudden change from Kangan in Broadmeadows, forcing them to attend Whittlesea Secondary, Seymour College and Broadford Secondary to complete their VET training.
Some students started their courses during the school holidays with some attending Whitehouse for two weeks. Students also attended workshops in Wangaratta for some VET programs. Most SBAT students will be doing their work placement on a Wednesday.
Students must notify Mrs Jacqui Wilson, our Absentee Officer, when they will be away from school for VET or SBAT studies so she can record the information on Simon. If she is not told she will send your parents a text asking where you are.
Finally, you should have applied for your unique student identifier (USI) as you will need it for VET and SBATs or any training you undertake. Here's the link:
