10 September 2015
I was among a group of year 10 students that visited Caroline Chisolm Catholic College, Braybrook last month for a student leadership day.
This excursion allowed us to gain a useful insight into the skills and abilities of leaders. The day consisted of many activities including ice-breaker games with students from other schools and insightful lessons on leadership qualities.
We learned how to prioritise and analyse situations, effectively work together as a team, discover the qualities and skills that are developed from leadership (listening and understanding, organisation, confidence, charisma etc.) and the leadership roles at other schools. This excursion gave us a broad understanding of what to expect in possible future leadership roles.
The day was a success, and we thank the school and especially Ms Barr for allowing us to participate.
