From the Principal

DSC 4060 ppWelcome to Assumption College, Kilmore. A Catholic, co-educational day and boarding secondary school founded by the Marist Brothers. The College has been educating students in the Marist tradition for 123 years. During that time, its brothers and lay staff have encouraged and assisted thousands to discover their talents, to realise their potential and to grow into men and women of good character and substance.

This process begins with our holistic approach which aims to cater for our students’ educational, physical, social and spiritual needs. Visit our curriculum page and you will see that we offer a diverse range of academic and hands-on subjects. Likewise, there are numerous cultural and sporting co-curricular activities that our students are encouraged to take part in.

We provide many opportunities for the young people in our care to deepen their faith through an ongoing religious education program, reflection days, retreats, and full-school liturgies on significant feast days. We also encourage them to become Christian leaders at Assumption, not only as part of our student leadership team, but also by helping prepare liturgies and the Assumption Day fete, assisting with junior sporting teams and being involved in our Christian Service program known as Champagnat Ministry.
