Year 10 Biology, Year 9 STEM and senior VCAL students enjoyed a hands on forensics incursion thanks to Kat Stammers and Education Interactive.
The students were presented with the details of a police investigation and were required to study crime scene evidence such as DNA, fingerprints, autopsy findings and time of death calculations to determine what occurred.
Interactive laboratory activities included matching DNA from blood, reviewing trace evidence with a digital microscope and studying CCTV footage.
The opportunity to be "hands on" with tools that forensic investigators use to examine crime scenes was a popular one with all the students.
