Assumption College Community Development Team Incorporating Parents and Friends Association

The Community Development Team is one of the forums where parents have the opportunity to engage with the school community. All parents are invited to volunteer their services and expertise to support the College.

The Community Development Team involves itself with all of the classic P&F activities: working bees, equestrian events, formals, camp assistance/nurse in attendance and as sporting coaches.

However, the team and the school wish to also emphasise the importance of sustainable engagement with parents and the community; volunteers should get as much or more from their efforts as they put in.

Meetings are the first Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm in the staff room. All are encouraged to attend to create for the College a lively and enjoyable forum delivering outcomes.

There is a levy if you are unable to assist with working bees or any of the above activities. You will receive a separate letter detailing this information early

in 2018 as well as a preview of new initiatives designed to provide more opportunities to engage with the school community and add value for you.

We will kick off our engagement focus with the inaugural “Welcome to New Parents” comedy night on Saturday, 24 February 2018, a free of charge event sponsored by the Community Development Team (incorporating P&F).
