VCAL students experience life in the fast lane

16 April 2015

Year 11 VCAL students ventured to the Grand prix on March 13.

Once at Albert Park we got our tickets and earplugs from Mrs Pendlebury and were off. We had to choose a seminar to attend, namely Planning a Grand Prix Event and Grand Prix Racing Car Drivers. Sadly the first seminar mentioned was cancelled, so mostly everyone joined the race car driver one. It was educational and fun as there were prizes, including drink bottles, posters, USBs and key rings, given out for even asking a question.

After the seminar, everyone had a chance to explore and eat. There was a lot to do and see and we even managed to watch a few races. The cars were loud but not loud enough to wear our earplugs. Click on the photos below for a glimpse of what we experienced.

CFA program

Year 11 VCAL student received their first taste of the CFA at the end of last term, and the program resumed this week. A big thank you to the Kilmore CFA, especially Mr Paul Duff and Sandra O’Connor for helping get this wonderful opportunity off the ground. Click on photos below.

Relay for Life

A reminder that ACK's next Relay for Life is on Friday, May 1. It's being organised by our year 12 VCAL students. Time to dust off the sneakers, and get involved. If you can't participate, you can still donate. Donations and booking can be made through the College website (trybookings). We will have the computers open and links to book at Open Day, too.
