At a magnificent formal event at Crown Palladium on Saturday, 27 October 2018, attended by over 450 guests, the Assumption College Community gathered to celebrate 125 years of education in the Marist tradition in Kilmore and also acknowledge and applaud a further eight inductees into the College Hall of Excellence, acknowledge Rising Star and AFLW achievements and name the Cricketers of the Century.
Those in attendance were able to celebrate the amazing efforts of old collegians across a variety of areas including medicine, law, humanitarianism, fashion and design, film and television and sport.
The eight inductees into the prestigious Hall of Excellence included Members of the Order of Australia Neale Daniher and Kevin Butler as well as world renown designer Angelo Katsapis and film maker Charles Williams.

The Rising Star category is a new award to recognise those who are already having an amazing impact in their chosen fields or endeavours. Recent alumnus AFLW star Chloe Molloy and entrepreneur Jeremy Burge were among those acknowledged for what they have achieved.

The AFLW acknowledgements paid tribute to the amazing talents of former female students who have gone on to play Australian Rules Football at the highest level.
Finally, the Assumption College Cricketers of the Century were named from a galaxy of over 800 players across 125 years. Famous sporting names such as Simon O'Donnell, Peter Ryan, Neale Daniher and Peter Crimmins were among the illustrious 16 players named in the touring party.
