ACHIEVEMENT COMES IN MANY FORMS

EQUESTRIANISM

equestrianism

Assumption College has a proud, dedicated equestrian team competing in events that celebrate this time-honoured sporting tradition. While equestrianism offers physical benefits for participants such as improved core strength and greater coordination, the sport offers much more than that. Membership of the team offers students the opportunity to mix with other equestrian enthusiasts of all year levels, helping to build their social and personal confidence in a positive and supportive environment. Equestrian team members participate in competitions as part of the Victorian Interschool’s Equestrian Series, which is accredited by Equestrian Australia.

The current team comprises 26 members, under the guidance of dedicated teacher/equestrian coordinators who are supported by an enthusiastic and welcoming Senior Leadership Team.

Participants adhere to the Assumption College Student Code of Conduct, the means of supporting the principles of our Marist Mission.

Those nominating Equestrian as a co-curricular activity are required to attend equestrian meetings at school and participate or actively support in at least four interschool competitions representing Assumption College.
