This pavilion replaces the one generously donated by the Anderson family in the 1970s. The pavilion is also home to all Assumption sports. Over many years, the College’s achievements on the sporting field are legendary. Both normal classes and training sessions will use this space as a practical teaching tool in the delivery of our modern sports and physical education curriculum program.
A purpose-built specialist facility Drusilla has been designed to house Agriculture Sciences, Animal Studies, and senior applied learning activities. This facility provides students with modern learning spaces, including general classrooms, a science laboratory, an animal treatment room, and a large project area. Additionally, Drusilla features associated spaces such as livestock yards, paddocks, a chicken coop, a greenhouse, student amenities, storage areas, and a series of outdoor learning areas.
The Well aims to provide open spaces for formal, informal and autonomous learning and relationship building. The strengthening of relationships to mental health and student services serve to improve pathways, and ultimately outcomes of our community. The space is modern, comfortable, student friendly and engenders a feeling of being welcome and safe. The revised flexible and varied spaces allow for inclusivity and equitable use by diverse learners with myriad learning and social needs.
The Marlhes Restaurant is a unique feature of the Assumption College campus – providing students with a professional learning environment that covers every aspect of the restaurant business.
Hospitality students enjoy access to a full commercial kitchen, barista station, and fine dining area. At the Marlhes, our chefs-in-training experience a true restaurant setting – including serving the public.
Named after the hometown of Saint Marcellin Champagnat, Marlhes Restaurant is treasured by students, staff, and the community.
The Fitness Centre is utilised for students undertaking lessons in High Performance Sport, or as part of their development and coaching program for various co-curricular teams. The boarding students can also access this space after school with supervision from our Strenght and Condition Coaches.
Formally utilised as a dormitory style boarding house, the Fouv, as it has become known by staff and students is now home to our College library, our Pathways Hub as well as versatile classroom spaces.
While the space retains many of its original architectural elements such as high ceilings, large windows, and ornate mouldings they blend contemporary educational needs, these classrooms are equipped with modern amenities like smart boards, Wi-Fi, and ergonomic furniture.
The blend of historical and modern elements creates an inspiring and engaging atmosphere for students and teachers alike.
