Apply to Enrol in Four Easy Steps

Step 1: Apply

Submit your online application form in just a few moments. Be sure to have the following documents ready:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Immunisation record from Medicare
  • Baptism certificate (if applicable)
  • Recent school report
  • Grade 5 NAPLAN results*
  • Visa documentation (if applicable)
  • Court or parenting orders (if applicable)

*Please note that you do not need to wait to receive a copy of your child’s Grade 5 NAPLAN results to submit your application. NAPLAN reports can be later emailed to the Registrar.

Please note:

  • A $350.00 non-refundable application fee applies at the time of submission.
  • Submitting an application does not guarantee a place at Assumption College.

Step 2: Interview

Prospective students and their parents or carers will be invited to attend an enrolment interview with a member of our teaching staff. This conversation provides an opportunity for us to learn more about your child and family, share insight into life at Assumption College, and answer any questions you or your child may have.

For Year 7 intakes, interviews are scheduled in Term 3 and this will be communicated by the Registrar closer to this time. Out-of-cycle applicants Years 8-12 will be contacted by the Registrar to scheduled a time.

Please allow approximately 30 minutes for your interview. Where possible, we’d love to meet face-to-face, however virtual interviews are considered upon request. Student references may also be requested as part of this process.

Step 3: Offer

Successful applicants will receive a formal Letter of Offer to proceed with enrolment. All enrolment decisions are made by the Principal, in accordance with the Enrolment and Exclusions (Boarding and Day School) Policy, with careful consideration given to each application. These decisions are final.

Step 4: Accept & Enrol

To secure your child’s place at Assumption College, parents and carers are required to formally accept the offer and complete the enrolment process. This includes returning the completed enrolment form by the date specified in the Letter of Offer, along with any required documentation.

By accepting the offer, families enter into a partnership with the College to support their child’s learning, wellbeing and formation in accordance with the College’s Enrolment Agreement and policies.

Upon successful completion of enrolment, students are supported through a carefully designed Transition Program that places a strong emphasis on wellbeing, confidence and connection. From their very first day at Assumption College, students are nurtured to feel welcomed, supported and a true sense of belonging within our community.

Applications for Years 8–12

We gladly accept out-of-cycle applications and strive to ensure a straightforward and supportive process for prospective students and their families. Whether your child is joining us from another school, seeking a new beginning, or transitioning into boarding, we’re committed to ensuring a welcoming start and effortless integration into our dynamic community. Please remember:

  • The application process remains the same for all year levels, for day and boarding students.
  • Out-of-cycle applications for Years 8–12 are subject to availability. Waitlists may apply.
  • Offers are typically extended within 2–3 weeks of your enrolment interview, or as places become available.
  • For a smoothest possible transition, successful applicants are encouraged to commence at the beginning of the next semester.
