PERSONALISED LEARNING AND LEARNING SUPPORT

Personalised learning and learning support

Assumption College prides itself on its inclusivity and celebration of diversity. ‘Learning diversity’ refers to the infinite variety of life experiences and attributes a child brings to their formal learning at school.

Our Personalised Learning team endeavours to support all students who would benefit from a personalised approach to supporting them to optimise their educational potential. This is inclusive of students with diverse learning, cultural and support needs, together with those considered likely to achieve exceptional academic outcomes.

The Personalised Learning team consists of the Personalised Learning Leader, Personalised Learning Lead Teachers, a Speech Pathologist, Learning Support Officers and an Administration Officer.

The team works closely with the Wellness Centre counsellors, Health Centre nurses, House Leaders, LearningLeaders, Learning Mentors, and the Pathways team to provide a holistic and collaborative approach to supporting all students.

Our Personalised Learning team works in partnership with students, parents/carers, teachers, and external support services, to ensure that students are supported to optimise their performance, and to achieve their social, spiritual, physical and academic goals.
